Over the course of five weeks we will be hosting a range of vibrant, creative responses to themes exploring the environment, sustainability and wellbeing. Working with schools, local charities, artists, and community leaders, we shall explore what we can do to help our planet and our health.
Gallery 1 will be transformed by a lively assortment of displays, films and workshops, including work created by young people in Southampton exploring their rights. We are showing new work by young people from No Limits and YMCA made in response to our Safe Spaces initiative, a project in partnership with Skate Southampton. Visitors can enjoy community gardening, upcycling, repairing and electronic waste, with our recent Telephonic Youth collaboration are inviting people to dig out their old phones. We invite you to explore, celebrate and join in.
Community Takeover offers social and creative space for experimentation and play, where communities can come together and share in our commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
