There are Blue Badge parking spaces directly at the rear of the building 50 yards from the main entrance. The building is entirely wheelchair accessible, with lifts to all floors.

We welcome Guide and Assistance Dogs.

Large print texts are available upon request from Gallery Reception or by contacting us by email or telephone.

Lockers, buggy park and baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor.

Accessible Toilets are on ground and first floors and all our toilets are gender neutral.

By car and parking

Nearby pay and display car parks are within walking distance at Grosvenor Square Car Park, Bedford Place, Civic Centre Forecourt and West Quay Car Park. All car parks have accessible spaces for Blue Badge holders.

By train

Southampton is on the main London Waterloo to Weymouth train line. Southampton Central is the closest train station, approximately a ten-minute walk from John Hansard Gallery.

John Hansard Gallery is served by Unilink and Bluestar bus routes. The nearest bus stops are Above Bar Street, Commercial Road and New Road.

Cycle

There are a number of cycle stands in Guildhall Square, opposite John Hansard Gallery.

Airport

Southampton city centre is only four miles from Southampton Airport and travelling to the city centre is quick and easy with a range of different transport.

The Uni-link U1C service runs from Southampton Airport to the city centre, with the Uni-link U1A service taking visitors from the city centre to Southampton Airport.
