Artist Talk: Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva
At the end of 2019, Hadzi-Vasileva completed an Artist in Residency at LuxeLakes A4 Museum in Chengdu, China as the only UK artist to participate and has since been invited to develop a proposal for a permanent site-specific installation at The Eco Centre at Luxelakes A4 Museum.
In her talk, Hadzi-Vasileva will share her experience in China, the process of developing the proposal for the commission with Luxelakes A4, and discuss exhibiting at the Venice Biennale as a representative of her country (Macedonia, 2013) and following commission by the Vatican (Pavilion of the Holy See, 2015), as well as other recent exhibitions.
