Discover Liza Sylvestre’s current exhibition asweetsea through touch, description and discussion.

asweetsea explores what it means to communicate. The first solo show by artist Liza Sylvestre outside of the United States, asweetsea includes moving image, together with drawings, sculptures and audio works.

Liza is a deaf artist, whose child and partner are both hearing. She tries to locate where her disability lives within her family and through her work, Sylvestre investigates the complicated edges of distinctions.

What does hearing mean? What does deafness mean? What does disability mean? Where do these things begin and end?

Jo Bressloff has over 15 years’ experience in art education and in leading tours with and for blind and partially sighted people.

There will also be opportunity to take part in a creative making session. Refreshments provided.
