Join us to celebrate the diversity of Southampton and the joy of food!

John Hansard Gallery Ambassadors invite people of all ages and backgrounds from the city to send us your favourite family recipe, letting us know why it matters to you.

John Hansard Gallery Ambassadors are a group of local volunteers who are co-creating our ‘Community Takeover’.

Community Takeover (8 June – 6 September) will celebrate the diverse culture of local people through community exhibitions, workshops and events. In 2024, the entire programme will be inspired by food.

Your favourite recipes will help transform Gallery 1 into an inclusive space that explores Southampton’s food culture, heritage, wellbeing and the climate.

Your recipes might also be included in an e-recipe book.
