Join us every Saturday for sessions to draw, make and build together, with activities inspired by our exhibitions!

FREE. Suitable for all aged 4 and over. Under 16’s must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Explore our current exhibitions to find key themes of home, gardens and dwellings. This week, join us printing local flowers and leaves! Use nature to print on top of collages or create repeat patterns!

Saturday 21 June

Flowers, gardens and nature play key roles in our current exhibitions. Explore botanical floral drawings this week and have a go drawing yourself! Explore different materials and develop your own botanical sketches inspired by our local flora!

Saturday 28 June

Morgan Quaintance’s film in Barker-Mill gallery explores themes of home, belonging and society. Join us this week to construct model homes from cardboard. What would your dream home look like and how can you construct this using card?

Join local creative writer Antosh Wojcik explore Jumana Manna’s Foragers in Gallery 1! Jumana’s film explores foraging plants and the nature laws around harvesting wild plants, join Antosh experiment with text, language and plants! 

Saturday 12 July

Join us this week at Mela in Hoglands park! Get creative in the park and explore sun-printing whilst celebrating Modern and Traditional Asian Culture. Table top activities available at the gallery for a quieter creative session. 

Saturday 19 July

Morgan Quaintance explores home, place making, buildings and social structures in his film Available Light. Create a 3D home and garden using picture frames to create layers, stories and homes! 

Saturday 26 July

Plants and flowers play a key role in representing place and home within Alaa Abu Asad and Jumana Mana’s films in Gallery 1. Make your own flowers and plants using crepe paper, have a go making indigenous flowers to the UK, or experiment with different species!
