The Southampton Public Art Group is seeking consultants or agencies to develop a comprehensive Public Art Strategy that will guide the future of public art in our city.

The strategy should align with the vision: “Exciting public spaces, filled with our diverse stories.” The focus will be on creating dynamic, inclusive spaces that reflect the community’s cultural, historical, and contemporary narratives.

Objectives:

Celebrate Diversity: Public art should reflect the varied cultural, historical, and contemporary stories of the community.

Enhance Spaces: Transform public spaces into lively environments that encourage connection, pride, and engagement.

Cultivate Creativity: Support local and regional artists through collaboration and creative expression.

Ensure Sustainability: Develop plans for the long-term care and upkeep of public art installations.

Engage the Community: Involve the community in the development process to ensure the art reflects their voices and values.

The Southampton Public Art Group invites proposals that help bring this vision to life, ensuring that the city’s public art is truly representative of its diverse and vibrant community. More information the project and proposal requirements can be found here
