Join us on 16 September for a creative workshop led by local artist Abeer Kayani! The event is part of Co-Creating Public Space, a two-year initiative funded by Arts Council England inviting communities to creatively engage with artists to rethink the use of the public space in Southampton, and beyond.
Abeer Kayani is a local artist who uses hand dyed and printed textiles to create bold and intricate patterns exploring her cultural identity. Abeer will be creating a workshop inspired by the Mela festival and London-based artist Permindar Kaur.
Explore mask making with Abeer to discover new symbols, patterns and mark making!
Join us in our Active Space on 16 September between 11am-4pm. Free, book here.
This event is in partnership with Art Asia.
