John Hansard Gallery is seeking to appoint an experienced Engagement Curator who will be a key member of the Engagement and Learning Programme Team.
The successful applicant will assist with the delivery of our acclaimed and innovative programme for schools, colleges, community groups, young people, families, adults and older people. The Engagement Curator will coordinate the JHG Collective, our Young Curators Programme, Space to Create! (our family-friendly Saturday education programme) and the Creative Employment Programme of apprenticeships, internships and traineeships.
They will also project manage John Hansard Gallery’s extended off-site programme of ambitious artist commissions and residencies, developing new commissioning models for collaborative practice.
Previous experience of working in a gallery environment in a similar role is essential, along with a good knowledge of gallery engagement and learning, and a commitment to diversity, equality, inclusiveness and making contemporary art accessible to all.
