Join artist Gayle Chong Kwan in conversation with art critic and writer Hettie Judah. The online discussion will explore the themes within Chong Kwan’s current exhibition at John Hansard Gallery through a female lens.

Gayle Chong Kwan explores historical, political and ecological life. Chong Kwan’s show, A Pocket Full of Sand (until 11 May 2024) looks at the links between the Isle of Wight and Mauritius through island communities, trade links and natural resources.

Hettie Judah is a regular contributor to The i, The Guardian and Apollo magazine. Judah has held conversations within art galleries, colleges and museums, forming pioneering collaborations and writing around artists and parenting, as well as exploration into geology including Lapidarium: The Secret Lives of Stones (John Murray, London, 2022/ Penguin, NY, 2023).
