In collaboration with BSL Celebration, Deaf Vision presents work by children from the Newlands School Resource for Deaf Children and artists Rebecca Aldridge, Diana Terry, and Kim Waine-Thomas.
Children from the Newlands School Resource for Deaf Children have worked alongside local artist Vicky Barber-Crimes, in response to Emma Critchley’s exhibition Soundings. The young artists experimented with a range of materials to express their thoughts on Soundings, exploring the question: Should we mine the deep sea?
This group exhibition has been co-curated with Vicky Barber-Crimes, who has displayed the creations alongside work by deaf artists Rebecca Aldridge, Diana Terry, and Kim Waine-Thomas.
Thanks to artist and architect Martin Glover and Vicky Barber-Crimes, who were both part of the selection panel.
This exhibition was developed in collaboration with BSL Celebration as part of Southampton BSL Fest.
